Houhu is a hub of cultural richness. Over 20 venues, including the Hunan Art Museum, form a thriving ecosystem where more than 100 artists, including Zhu Xunde, live and work. The lakeside buzzes with youthful energy during music festivals and lawn art seasons. Just recently, a contemporary art invitational exhibition brought together over 20 artists from China, Germany, Thailand, and Singapore. Their cross-disciplinary work, created on-site, transformed the lake into a “borderless art lab” full of boundless creativity.
